THEY DON’T WANT TO SEE ME AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE ANYMORE…AND YOU?

Urgent please!

Yesterday, April 22, around 2:00 p.m., the lawyer of Alexandre Penasse, editor of the newspaper Kairos, has put in remains the office of Premier Sophie Wilmès, through of his spokesman, Steve Detry, and his collaborators, to communicate within the next 24 hours: the address and time of the press conference to come, and confirmation of their agreement on the participation of Alexandre Penasse in the next press conference.

We have not received any response from Sophie Wilmès’ office.

The freedom of the press has long been in danger, we see it now the concrete effects. This justifies that we go out in respecting the guidelines (masks and physical distancing) to express its indignation in front of this what’s going on.

Is it wrong to think that we are preventing this journalist to freely exercise his profession? The facts speak for themselves of themselves. They don’t want us to hear anything else. They would have too much to lose. Let’s show that they should be at our service.

We ask all those who are outraged by this attack on the freedom of the press and the right to be informed, to manifest themselves in one way or another, peacefully and in the law, on the networks, in the street, with posters in the window, photos in front of the RTBF buildings, Palais de Justice, etc.

Share the event and flood the web with photos of you with a sympathetic message of support (or even outrage).

MERCI À CELLES ET CEUX QUI NOUS SOUTIENNENT ! 💪
