Kairos Weekly 1

This summer, the Kairos « Weekly » is written so that what we put into words and images this spring in a new format, is remembered. Because we are quick to forget current events, but remembering what has been allows us to better understand the present and to prepare for the future, and perhaps even to participate in it. 

Some news in this month of April without Covid. 

The transition in a few hours to the « Ukraine » narrative will have taught us one more thing, especially to those who wonder how we could have been manipulated during two years of Covid crisis. How many wars, how many peoples to help, from Yemenis to Afghans, from Palestinians to Syrians? How many of them have generated this surge of solidarity? None. So it’s not that people woke up one morning and said « well, let’s welcome the Ukrainians », it’s rather that the media told a story and everyone followed. They have created the impetus for a world order.

So turn off your TVs and read something else. As such, we strongly advise you to read the article by Jaques Baud, « THE MILITARY SITUATION IN UKRAINE ON MARCH 25, 2022 », indispensable. We discover without surprise that the experts of the TV sets ramble on all day long about their mistakes, especially, and I quote Jacques Baud  » that the strategic objective of the Russian coalition is not to take over Ukraine, but to remove any threat to the Russian-speaking population of Donbass. According to this general objective, the « real » center of gravity that the Russian coalition is trying to target is the bulk of the Ukrainian armed forces massed in the south-southeast of the country since the end of 2021, and not Kiev.  »
Why? Baud adds,  » The vagueness about the situation of Ukrainian forces in the West has other effects. First of all, it maintains the illusion of a possible Ukrainian victory. Thus, instead of encouraging a negotiation process, the West seeks to prolong the war. This is why the European Union and some of its member countries have sent weapons and thus encourage the civilian population and volunteers of all kinds to go and fight, often without training and without any real command structure, with deadly consequences.  »
We often share quality articles in our « Seen Elsewhere » section, and we plan interviews on this topic. It happens.

Many people are wondering about my press card. I will appear before the Appeals Board on April 19 at 12:00 noon at the Residence Palace on Rue de la Loi. To give you an idea, we asked to recuse Laurent Haulotte, Director of Information and Sports of RTL Belgium; Jean-Paul Philippot, General Administrator of RTBF; Martine Simonis, General Secretary of the Association of Professional Journalists; and André Linard, who was the first Secretary of the Council of Journalistic Deontology, father of the current Minister of Media Bénédicte Linard, whose office distributes the subsidies to us. These four should decide on the extension of my press card. What do you think their judgment will be?

Martine Simonis, also presides over the Association for the Self-Regulation of Journalistic Ethics. A few days ago I was in front of the general assembly of this association because the cabinet of Minister Linard, daughter of André Linard, decided that from now on it would be necessary to be a member of the AADJ to be able to benefit from the aid to the periodical press:  » any grant amounts awarded to you cannot be paid until you join AADJ, proof of which must be submitted to us by October 17, 2022 .

So we went to present ourselves to the AADJ Assembly. Martine Simonis, current secretary general of the AJP, and François Ryckmans, member of the accreditation commission that refused to extend my press card, were present. The purpose was « to allow the members of the General Assembly to hear from media officials whom they may not know well and to be able to ask them all the questions they deem necessary before making their decision.

« That they might not know ». Kairos exists since April 2012, almost 10 years!

A big family, therefore, which decides on your journalistic existence, your press card, your subsidies, etc. And does journalism in Belgium, and therefore has this monopoly of the representation of reality.

From one day to the next, we go from all covid to almost nothing… while waiting for the next step. Because while they are making fools of us, with their eyes on Ukraine, they are trying to impose compulsory vaccination; while the side effects and deaths of their vaccines are surfacing. So they try to make them look like Covid again and again… It has a good back.

Footballers, cyclists, tennis players collapse or withdraw, RTBF wonders if their immune system is not damaged after two years of Covid.
How will they still manage to hide an unprecedented excess of youth mortality?
The media always wake up a little late and only open their mouths when they can’t shut them anymore. The latest example is the Filigranes bookstore, with its explosive boss and its privileges. In 2018, we already talked about it in an article⁽¹⁾, with several testimonies of employees, some of whom had warned the media… only response: silence.
Our article, on the other hand, in 2018 earned us a political reprimand from the French Community for a sentence that displeased them and the end of Kairos sales at Filigranes. The media will only react today, when 48 employees file a complaint against their boss.…

Jean-Dominique Michel rightly reminded us of the treatment to which those who leave the single thought are entitled…

That said, their covid policies are coming back, enjoy, the main course is coming, if we continue to accept all this. New confinements are in the pipeline, already in use in Asia. 

We are left alone for covid cases that would have justified a codeco and political measures a few months ago, but now no matter, it is probably the massive wave of Ukrainians!

But all this was a great opportunity for those who were already living in advantageous conditions. We know that McKinsey has sweetened the high spheres, we are waiting for the information for the Boston Consulting Group, from which Alexander De Croo comes, some of his collaborators too, and then his dear and tender.
The state mafia is everywhere, they are infiltrated… nothing will change until this mafia is dismantled.
Macron, Wilmès, De Croo, Von Der Leyen… serving the same, not the common good. At the World Forum, not at the People’s Forum.

So it’s a witch hunt for those who say something else: Virginie de Araujo Recchia is rounded up at home, the collabo press goes wild.

Pascal Sacré was summoned, as was Alain Colignon. The mainstream press does not mention it.
We will not be surprised when they jump on their planes to escape the extreme misery they have created. If even now you are not surprised that they keep talking about helping others when they are not addressing the causes that create the symptoms they themselves have created.

So this is a good time to remind you of something essential: the free press is not needed only when you need it, much like freedom of speech would be extinguished when you have nothing more to say. « The people who were able to take a breath of fresh air, to breathe with other information while they were being suffocated under the single thought of the mass media, should not forget us today. We need you, whether you talk about Kairos, your donations and subscriptions are essential. Without this, we risk not being there when you need us because of lack of resources.
