Excerpt from Kairos’ live broadcast on October 30 during the demonstration in support of Pascal Sacré

On November 1st, we sent this letter to the Charleroi hospital, where we had filmed live on October 30th the protest of colleagues and other sensitive people to the dismissal of the intensive care physician Pascal Sacré(1). Today, November 10, in the face of the lack of response from the hospital’s communications department, we are sending our questions back.

« Hello,

I am a journalist and would like to obtain information about the dismissal of Pascal Sacré. What are the reasons that led your institution, GHDC, to dismiss a physician-resuscitator?

Secondly, this dismissal is taking place in the middle of a period when hospitals are, according to official information, saturated? This raises at least two points: either your hospital is not saturated, and it would be good to make this information public, or it is, and you are making a life-threatening decision by sending a resuscitator away.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Alexandre Penasse
